Working Wonders Mum Event with Microsoft

About two weeks back, I travelled into London to attend a Working Wonders Mums event hosted by Microsoft. It was held at the rather nice Haymarket Hotel and I was looking forward to the evening out.

I was really happy to attend this event with a friend who blogs over at and also glad I met up with Lilinha from

While I sipped on a lovely refreshing elderflower drink, we were provided with delicious canapés and I released that I was rather hungry.

_PWG0534There was a panel talk led by the gorgeous Liz Earle and working Mums were discussed. Liz thinks (and rightly so) that mums returning to work are an asset. It was so great to listen to them talk about working Mums. With my second child, I went back to work when he was 4 months old. Luckily I had my mum to take care of him but leaving him at home was the hardest thing I did each morning.

We then had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Liz Earle and Celine from Microsoft. We discussed how Microsoft 365 has changed the way Liz works faster with the help of technology as everything happens in real time. Liz referred to the editor of her book being overseas and being in contact with the help of technology which makes things so much easier.

Celine mentioned how brands like Microsoft are now looking at Mums being more reliable as employees and being more efficient.

Research shows that people get back an hour in the day due to being able to work while commuting and being connected all the time.

I use Microsoft Office for all my blog work and I loved the demonstration of Office 365. I already work with One Drive and it was great to find out that I could now connect my iPad and mobile devices to access the drive as well as use Office on the go. I didn’t waste anytime in downloading Office Mobile and have already been reaping the benefits. I have written my posts while travelling and all I then need to do is access it from my laptop and post them. Goodbye to emailing them through.

I have also been so glad that I can upload my photos directly to One Drive and then use them for my blog posts. Not to mention the amount of free space on my phone and laptop too.

The calendar function helps me update my calendar and get Hubs to do so too – so he knows exactly when he needs to babysit!! 😉

I find this extremely helpful especially when we are shopping too as I can update it as many times as I want while he is shopping.

It was a really fun as well as informative evening and I am so glad I am able to get so much more done with the help of Office 365.
