The Three Lost Kids and Cupid’s Capture Review and Giveaway

Lexie is very unhappy this Valentine’s Day. She can’t get anything right, and her hearts all look horrible. In fact, everyone at school seems to be in an extra grumpy mood. When she and her sisters consult her magic Mirror of Ice to find out what’s going on, they are transported to Heartland, the home of Cupid herself, which is under attack by a scary monster. When Cupid is captured, the girls must navigate the Maze of Misdirection, pull themselves out of Apathy, and survive against attacking Cruel Crawlies in order to find the Chasm of Broken Hearts… and save Cupid. But first, Lexie has to learn to love herself just as she is, otherwise Valentine’s Day will forever be filled with broken hearts.

Kimberley holds the young reader ( and older ones too!!) spellbound by yet another fantastic story about the ‘three lost kids’. This time they are in Cupid’s world.

Lexie finds she is unable to write on Valentine’s Day and feels quite disgruntled and upset. She starts fighting with her sisters and soon discovers that a lot of other children are feeling the same way. When they find out that Cupid has been captured by a monster, they decide to go to the rescue.

What follows is an adventurous read with the three girls finding their self worth and love within themselves in the bargain.

Aimed at readers 6 -9, many will identify with the feeling of inadequacy that they may face but they will also learn that everyone is different and each one is worthy in their own right.

A book that can be read by both girls and boys although with most of the protagonists being girls, it would probably be enjoyed more by girls. I loved it and so did my 8 year old daughter!
