Switch & Go Dinos Turbo from VTech: Review

Is it a car?

Is it a dinosaur?

It’s a Switch & Go Dino Turbo

There is something about dinosaurs that interests children. When VTech and dinosaurs get together, it’s sure to create a…roar of delight from children and parents too as it means that children are kept occupied with educational and fun toys.

Switch & Go Dinos have been around for some time now but they now come in a Turbo range which makes them faster and it’s all up to you.
The Turbo launcher makes sure that your dinosaur is blasted to race up to 20 feet – if you can charge it well. All you need do is to press down on the launcher bar to see your dinosaur race. The faster you press it, the faster and further it will go.

That’s not all – your dinosaur can tell you some interesting facts about its species. The ‘Talk’ button when pressed allows the driver or the dinosaur to talk to you, while the ‘Sound’ button has interesting car and dinosaur sounds.

The car works as a friction car too so it can be played with/raced even without the turbo charger.

I like the transforming nature of this toy as it encourages motor skills. It has the best of both worlds that are naturally appealing to children – cars and dinosaurs.

Imaginative play is so important for development and this toy encourages it to a great extent. You can play with it as a car or as dinosaur so there are many hours of playing fun involved.

What we loved about Switch and Go Dinos Turbo…

  • The product is a quality product and sturdy as is synonymous with the VTech brand
  • It is educational as it provides interesting facts about the dinosaur (in this case it was a T-Rex)
  • Encourages motor skills
  • Encourages imaginative play
  • It appeals to both genders (my son and daughter both love it)
  • Bright, attractive colours
  • They are small enough to carry around when out.

I especially liked the fact that there is a great range of dinosaurs and since each one states facts about its own species, it is worth collecting. Needless to say that Ethan wants the others in the set – but at least I know what to get him for his birthday/Christmas.

The dinosaurs are priced at £9.99 and the Turbo T-Rex launcher is priced at £16.99 Both are excellent value for money and I wholeheartedly recommend them. My children aged 5 and 3 love them.

I shall hand you over to Ethan for his review
