That Ethan is crazy about Star Wars is not secret. He lives Star Wars. Hubs is also a huge Star Wars fan and thus we as a family are quite up-to-date with everything Star Wars.
We were sent some books from Egmont UK to review and as soon as I saw them I knew that the boys were going to love them. Boys being Ethan and Hubs.
We were sent –
We decided to attempt the Smuggler’s Starship first as Ethan has been after a Millennium Falcon and he couldn’t wait to get started.
The set contains cardboard cut outs that you need to put together to make the model and there is also an activity book with loads of Star Wars themed activities.
The Millennium Falcon had 18 pieces to put together and these were fairly easy to join. There are little slots into which you push the tabs to join each piece. It took Ethan about 20 minutes to put together as the tabs can be a bit fiddly. Luckily Hubs was there to help – most willingly.
The pieces are alphabetically marked and the instructions clearly state where each one goes so it’s quite simple. The cardboard is of a good quality and not weak so it doesn’t bend when you are joining the pieces which is great as I have seen a few models where the cardboard bends and it’s no fun making them. This was fun – as you can clearly see by the concentration on Ethan’s face.
He was thrilled with the completed model –
Ethan also enjoyed the activities in the book –
I think these are delightful book sets to give as gifts and what Hubs doesn’t know is that he is getting one on Father’s Day. I think he’s going to be most pleased and what can be better than father and son getting together and building models? If you are following me on social media – you may see just how pleased he will be. 🙂
The books are priced at £8.99 and are great value for money as there is so much to do. They are perfect for Father’s Day.
I was sent the above books for review and provided with compensation for my time taken to write this review. All ideas and opinions are my own.
