These warm sunny days are a prelude to what will be a lovely summer. I hope!
When the children are home from school on warm summer days, the first thing they ask for are ice lollies. Of course, of late it’s been a different request. They come home and right away ask for a slushy – all thanks to the Chill Factor Slushy Maker from Character.
This cool little cup can make an ordinary juice into a delicious slushy in a matter of seconds.
All you need to do is remove the cover and put the glass into the freezer for about 3 – 6 hours.
Take it out and fill up with your favourite drink/juice and then squeeze for about 30 seconds and then as if by magic you have an icy slushy drink in the glass instead of your juice.
The Chill Factor Slushy Maker retails at £12.99 and it is a really handy product to have for warm days.
It is super easy to use and easy to clean too. It comes with a handy straw that has a spoon at the end so that you can start by spooning the slush into your mouth and you don’t have to wait for it to melt.
I tried it with orange juice and mango juice and it came out really well. I tried it with chocolate milk and that was yum. I have to tell you that it is not only for children. I put my cappuccino ice into it and created an iced frappe. Absolutely delicious!
A few things to remember –
- Make sure that the slushy maker is frozen (it takes about 3 – 6 hours). I put it right back into the freezer once I have washed it so that it is always ready for the next drink.
- If your are making a slushy from a diary drink, pour the drink into the cup and pop it back into the freezer for 3 – 4 minutes and then get squeezing for a delicious iced milk shake.
- The drink itself should be chilled for best results.
I can see that one of these is too little for a household like ours and I am going to have to get a couple more so that the children don’t have to wait their turn.
