Shopkins Happy Places App Review

Do you have a little Shopkins fan at home? If so, this one is for you.

Moose Enterprises and Kuato Studios are proud to announce the arrival of the first official game for the massively successful Shopkins Happy Places brand. The game is available from the App Store and is free to play (there are in-app purchases though)

Shopkins Happy Places centres around a fun fictional place called Happyville and is a hugely successful spin off of Shopkins, one the most popular children’s entertainment franchises of recent years.

The Shopkins Happy Places game opens up a new world for Shopkins fans where they can collect cute Petkins and decorate their own Happy Places, all while completing House Goals with the help of their favourite Lil’ Shoppies. Whether it’s decorating an Oh-So-Cozy bedroom that’s a dream to sleep in for Jessicake, or helping Popette follow the latest trends to suit her laidback lifestyle, the game will allow kids to immerse themselves into Shopkins Happy Places like never before. You can also invite your favourite Lil’ Shoppies including Jessicake, Poppette, Coco Cookie and Bubbleisha to visit your Happy Home.

In true Kuato Studios style, Shopkins Happy Places will give fans a fun learning experience based around storytelling and narrative play. Kuato’s patent pending TalesMaker engine allows fans to create visual diaries from their Lil’ Shoppies’ adventures throughout the day, and then share these with family and friends.

What we thought…

As we are huge Shopkins fans at home we knew we would love this game. Aeryn loves the game and she has been playing it since she came home from school to find it downloaded. She’s been building her house and adding furniture and as a huge Shopkins fan, she enjoys playing in.

It is designed for aged 5 -8 and is perfect for this age. It helps to engage the child in creative play and also helps to develop storytelling skills.

About the App

Shopkins Happy Places begins on moving day, as Lil’ Shoppie Jessicake arrives in HappyVille! After her Happy Home is set up, children can explore decorating the with the many cute Petkins available. As they decorate and create, each Lil’ Shoppie will play with the Petkins and prompt the child with decoration ideas based on the Lil’ Shoppies individual personalities. The child can also take part in t #HouseGoal challenges which encourage more complex patterns based around simple story settings, such as birthday parties, or cooking contests.

As the child plays, our unique TalesMaker technology records key moments from the play session and then presents these to the child as a record of their day. Young storyteller’s can explore sequencing images and applying text to create simple narrative structures, before saving their story creations to share with family and friends.

Children can earn more Petkins, Happy Places and Lil’ Shoppies through play, allowing them to build out a whole HappyVille. The game also offers in-app purchases, accessible only via a PIN-code.

The App is available to download from iTunes –  https://itunes.apple.com/…/shopkins…/id1348397977…
