At the end of a long day with the children and household duties and blogging, the last thing I want to do is get involved in a movie or television series that makes me even more tired.
I like watching comedies at the end of the day as it helps me unwind and I do think laughter is a great medicine.
To be honest, I do not really enjoy all stand-up comedy as I do feel that sometimes the jokes are not really that laughable. I do know of many people who think that stand up can be quite rude too.
I do enjoy the veiled comments and innuendos.
If you like stand-up comedy you must be familiar with Russel Howard. I first got to know of him in Mock the Week, a series that I enjoy watching. Of course this was way back in 2006 when he appeared on the show.
Russell Howard rose to fame with his show Russell Howard’s Good News where he presented his take on the week’s top news stories. He also mentioned other lighter stories of the week in his own indomitable way.
I have only ever seen stand-up comedy on television but would love to go to a live event.
His tour Wonderbox is due to begin in February 2014. As part of the tour he is also visiting the US and Australia. I think this will be an amazing show as he brings to the stage his quick wit and own unique sense of humour.
I noticed that there is a show at the O2 on the 29th of March and I am hoping to make the show. I do know that Russell Howard Tickets are quite difficult to get as his shows sell out very quickly. I have been to the O2 arena and it is awesome. I have never been to a show there, just a movie. I may just have my wish and be able to get to this show though.
What about you? Do you like Stand-up comedy? Who is your favourite comedian?
