When I go out with the children, I always make sure that I have a supply of food and drink in my bag. Yes, its a pretty big bag I carry around. It’s like this – they have their breakfast and get dressed for a day out in London and the moment we get into the tube or the train – they’re hungry and thirsty.
Luckily, I always have something to soothe their hunger pangs and something to drink. Most often its a bottle of water as I’m not afraid of it spilling in my bag. The children moan sometimes as they would like something flavoured.
Now the best news that I received recently was that Ribena Minis was introducing a Less Spill, Less Mess cap. The caps have been based on in-depth research with parents to have less spillage as the drink is only released when the bottle is squeezed.
I was obviously keen on seeing whether the less-spill feature worked and I was pleasantly surprised as it was not just less-spill but more no-spill.
Jadyn tried holding the bottle over Aeryn’s head and I think she was secretly disappointed when nothing spilled. You can see from Aeryn’s smile that she is confident of not getting any drink on her – thanks to Ribena Minis’ less spill cap.
I also like the way the cap opens. All you need do is press the little button in and lift it up. It’s so much easier than twisting the cap and breaking the seal.
The drink selection comes in 3 flavours – Brilliant Blackcurrant, Oh So Yum Orange and Amazing Apple & Mango so there’s one for even the fussiest of drinkers. No added sugar is an added plus.
They are ideal for day trips and school lunches as I don’t get a soaked through lunch box if I put one in. You know what I’m talking about don’t you?
As for the taste, the children JUST LOVE IT.
Have you tried Ribena Minis recently? What are your views on the new Less-Spill cap?
