Review – Mega Fancy Dress costumes

Children like transporting themselves into worlds of fancy and one way to do this is to play dress up. On World Book Day, many schools have dress up day when children are encouraged to dress up as a character from a book.

My two elder children love dressing up and when we were given an opportunity to review two costumes from MegaFancyDress we didn’t refuse.

I received 2 costumes to review – Scarlett O’Hara and the Iron Man.

The Scarlett O’Hara costume is really pretty. It comes with a long red dress that has a frill at the bottom with black lace and a black belt. It also comes with a hat that my daughter just adores. She is 8 but I asked for a 10 – 12 and it fits her just fine as the costumes come a little small.

She wore it for World Book Day and it was a big hit. It looks really lovely when on and she felt quite grown up in it.

This costume is priced at £10.99

The Iron Man Costume comes is red and yellow and comes with an EVA mask. The chest is muscled with EVA too so it looks nearer the real thing. The costume consists of a jumpsuit and it is fairly easy to take off and put on with the Velcro straps at the back. The mask is red and yellow and goes well with the costume. It is nice not to have to purchase the mask separately.

Ethan loves dressing up as Iron Man and he wears it quite often as it is a favourite of his. For him I requested a size 4 – 6 and this fits just right.

The Iron Man costume is priced at £16.49
