Last Monday I was treated to a rather nice day in at my home together with a few of my friends to celebrate HP’s Instant Ink Refer- A-Friend campaign.
I’ll tell you more about this shortly but first let me tell you about the lovely afternoon.
I was sent some really amazing treats from Waitrose all perfect for a party with friends. As I had mentioned that there would be children too (it is the summer vacation after all), I had some lovely treats thrown in for them too.
I loved this tear and share caterpillar brioche, let alone the kids.
There were sandwich platters, crisps, popcorn, cheeses for the cheeseboard, grapes, cake, chocolates and Prosecco. Sounds delightful? It was.
We were also sent some vodka and cointreau to make some cocktails which went down really well. 🙂 It was all part of the testing process of course!
A beautician was provided for us to get our nails done and to get a massage too. I had a back massage and it was so relaxing.
The nicest part, and this is what my friends were really taken with, was the printer that I was sent to use and of course the information about HP Instant Ink.
In case you haven’t heard of it – HP Instant Ink is an ink replacement service that delivers printer ink to your door before you need it so you NEVER run out of ink. It saves unto 70% on ink costs.
How it works –
Once you insert your cartridges into the printer that is compatible, it registers its use and monitors it’s ink levels, sending out printer ink cartridges before you need it.
There are 3 plans that you can sign up to –
- £1.99 per month for occasional printing [50 pages per month],
- £3.49 per month for moderate printing [100 pages per month] and
- £7.99 per month for frequent printing [300 pages per month]
It doesn’t matter if you print in colour or in black and white as the cost remains the same. Two cartridges are sent out to you.
There’s even more good news as in April 2016, the Refer a friend campaign was launched where for every friend referred to HPInstant Ink, both of you will receive 1 month’s free Instant Ink Service.

I had mentioned that we were sent a printer too, hadn’t I? This wasn’t any printer but the HP Deskjet 3720 – the world’s smallest all-in-one printer. It is small when compared to others and it certainly does the job. I have been playing around with it and it is pretty amazing.
It prints, scans and copies and it even allows you to print directly from your social media feed. I shall be providing an in-depth review of the printer later so watch this space.
There were some games for us to play to showcase the superior colour of the HP Instant Ink cartridges. Though they are replacement cartridges, they are in no way inferior to others and provide a great print quality every time. The scanner is a scroll scanner.
We had a most enjoyable afternoon and even managed to take some Photo Booth kind of photos of the children.
Remember to use the code 35utre83eevga to get a free month of HP Instant Ink. If you don’t have a compatible printer, you may want to invest in one. Here is the list of the compatible printers –
- The HP Deskjet 3720 All-in-One printer starts at £54.99
- The HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One printer starts at £59.99 – The HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer starts at £59.99.
- The HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-one printer starts at £49.99
- The HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One printer starts at £89.00, exclusively at Dixons
There’s a prize for me if I can get the most sign ups and I’d sure like to win a day at the spa.
A big thank you to the team at HP for making our afternoon so enjoyable.
I was provided with a printer and all the goodies to make this party successful. All ideas and opinions are my own.
