Mr Frosty – The Crushed Ice Maker: Review

It does look like we are in for a good summer – thanks to the last few days. And what better way to celebrate summer than with ice lollies.

The children on their return from school are really hot and being treated to a Frosty treat is all they are looking for.

We were thrilled to be able to review Mr Frosty from Flair. To some of you, Mr Frosty will be a familiar name as some may have owned one a long time ago. I was happy to be able to introduce my children to him.

Mr Frosty is the crushed ice maker that all children grow to love.

The set comes with Mr Frosty – the crushed ice maker with a handle to turn to crush the ice and a little tray to collect the crushed ice. It also comes with an ice lolly mould that holds 3 ice lollies (perfect for my 3) and two ice trays that makes ice in different shapes – which the kids love.

There are also two little bowls and spoons to treat yourself to your slushy.

And an adorable little penguin to squirt the syrup from.

There are no special instructions required really except that you need to make ice in your freezer and then use it to make a slushy. It helps if you leave the ice out a bit so you don’t have to turn the handle too hard. However, I found that if you kind of turn the handle halfway back and forth to grind the ice, it works better.

The great thing is that you can make the ice cubes with your favourite healthy juice or add a dash of flavouring to normal crushed ice.

Mr Frosty is available at Smyths Toys and The Entertainer and is priced at £19.99
