I remember when I was little I hated milk. Well, maybe hate is too strong a word. I disliked it.
As I grew older I realised the importance of drinking milk and the necessity of making sure that my children would include milk in their diet.
So, my children drink milk – and they love it.
They do have favourites and Big Milk and Cravendale are what they always ask for. And it’s no secret why – both are extremely creamy and tasty.
We use milk as an ingredient for a variety of recipes – pancakes, French toast, cupcakes, white sauce and the like but we like it best on it’s own.
There’s nothing best than drinking milk with a cookie and the children love dipping their cookies into it. Not my cup of tea…well, milk…really. But they enjoy it.
The children have their favourite mugs – Disney inspired, of course! It’s strange how anything goes down if they like the cup they’re drinking in.
The children always have a cup of milk before bed and I think their milk moustaches look rather cute!
Here’s a short poem letting you know exactly how we enjoy milk in our home – especially Cravendale.
You can drink it in a smoothie
Or have it in a shake
Add it to a muffin
Or a dash in a cupcake
Add it to white sauce
Or even a curry
Thicken the gravy
When you’re in a hurry
Soak your bread in it
For delicious French toast
But this is how the children
Love milk the most
Just plain on it’s own
It goes down a treat
And when it’s Cravendale
It just can’t be beat.
