Love Cravendale – Our Day on the Thames

Thanks to BritMums and Cravendale – we have managed to get the ‘bore’ out of ‘boredom’.

Summer brings with it a number of things – long days, no school and the term ‘bored’ featuring several times an hour.

It is a struggle to keep children entertained and active during the 6 week break.

Cravendale has made this easier –

bottlerandribbonEveryone knows that milk is an important part of one’s diet. Now Cravendale has gone a step further and introduced the system of rewards to get you and your family active during the summer.

From swimming lessons, to singing lessons, to adventure and days out – there is something for everyone.

All you need to do is to redeem a code on your Cravendale milk bottle to have an experience of a lifetime.

We as a family were thrilled to be part of this campaign and review some of their experiences.

We chose to go on a Thames Cruise and this was indeed something that is highly recommended. To be able to cruise down the Thames, taking in the sights and sounds of London is a great experience.

We were booked on City Cruises and we decided to go from Westminster to Greenwich which was about a 90 minute ride one way. The day was beautiful – sunny and bright.

It was a bit too hot to sit with the children on the top deck but we went into the lower deck and it was lovely and cool as well as we had a good view of everything.

As we passed historical sites, it was lovely to be able to get full view of them from the river.

The children were excited and I loved listening to their excited chatter all the way.

Here are photos of some of the sights we took in –

We had lunch over at Greenwich and then boarded the boat back to Westminster.

It was a really enjoyable day and together with being active we also got to look at so many historic places from the boat. It was so much more pleasurable than walking with the children and have them dragging their feet.

I would definitely recommend using one of your Cravendale codes for this day out with the family.

Disclosure: I received tickets for the City Cruises Thames Cruise in order to write this post. All opinions and ideas expressed are entirely my own.
