#Littleadventures in the big city with Barny and my 3

Its time for Winter Little Adventures with Barny and this time there are some new flavours to be had – apple and strawberry. Two of my…er…my children’s favourite flavours.

When this was delivered

we knew this called for an adventure that would remain in our minds forever!

Would eating bugs qualify? I think it’s a definite yes!

So how did we end up doing this?

On Thursday the children and I trooped into London for a never before ( and probably never again) adventure to see if we could survive a breakfast of bugs and to look around the big city.

We didn’t let the rain get us down and we managed to get our faces painted – all of us, me included. I have to say it was rather nice to sport a rather beautiful butterfly on my face complete with glitter and jewels. The things we do for our children – and end up enjoying ourselves! 🙂

We also tried out a few bugs and they didn’t taste as horrible as we imagined. Would we do it again? I think not. It’s a kind of once in a lifetime experience.

That’s the reaction you get when you eat a bug!

I think it was a unanimous decision that we would stick to Barny instead.

The hustle and bustle of the city is something that fills one with infectious energy and the children had a great time walking down Shaftesbury Avenue (we’ve just done the Harry Potter tour)

We also interviewed author of Journey to Rainbow Island, Christie Hsiao, who was on tour from the US.

We also got a bit lost while navigating the streets but thankfully I was able to get back on track with the help of my phone. 🙂

All in all, a very adventurous day complete with Barny.

We had previously tried  Barny, the teddy shaped snacks with the and enjoyed them. We were thrilled to be able to try out the new Barny in, as I mentioned, two of our favourite flavours – Strawberry and Apple. Now, we have 4 wonderful flavours to choose from.

The children (and I) love Barny and it is a given that it is on every weekly shopping list. Barny is great for lunch boxes and snack time when you are on the go. Conveniently, individually wrapped, it keeps the hands mess free  as the wrapper can be used to hold Barny while you eat it. Perfect for mums!

Any adventure would be incomplete without Barny.

This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Winter Little Adventures Challenge’ sponsored by Barny, individually wrapped bear-shaped sponges with a hidden filling. Find out more about Barny here
