I was thrilled to review the letterbox cake from Bakerdaysas it was a concept that was totally new to me and I thought it was a lovely idea.
I chose to review one where I could upload my own photo. The cake arrived beautifully packaged and was slim enough to fit into a letterbox. It came with a party pack – a card, candles, balloons and a party horn.
The cake itself came in a round tin so there was no chance of it being squashed.
The picture was beautifully done on a starry background and looked too good to eat. The children were most excited to see their faces on a cake. Even though it was no one’s birthday, we lit the candles and cut the cake. Theicing was soft and moist and the chocolate cake was delicious.
Orders have already been placed in the household for upcoming birthdays as both the children want their favourite character on a cake.
Bakerdays makes different cakes for different occasions and you will be spoilt for choice when you visit the website.
The cakes are priced at £14.99 for a letterbox cake and £26.99 for a medium party cake which is plain madeira. There are other choices like fruit, carrot, double chocolate chip and even Gluten an wheat free for which there are additional charges.
The cakes are absolutely gorgeous it and I would recommend them highly.
The Christmas cakes look lovely and I am sure I will be ordering a few personalised cakes for Christmas presents.
