Keeping the family healthy with ProVen Probiotics

Winter seems to be the time when illness hits smack on. I don’t know about you but it also seems the time when after all the indulgence of Christmas and the New Year, one seems to hit a low period in life. Perhaps we miss the partying and the (over)eating. I know, I for one, definitely feel the need to get on a diet.

It’s not always the fact that I have put on weight but the fact that I feel bloated and know that the over-indulgence in all the rich food and sweet stuff has taken a toll. I recently read that digestive problems like bloating and Irritable Bowel Symptoms are caused by the imbalance of the good and bad bacteria in the gut. The ideal ratio should be 85% good to 15% bad but this can change due to a number of factors. A great way to ensure that the balance is kept in check is by taking a probiotic supplement.

I was recently sent some probiotic supplements to try out to see if any of my problems would ease and I’m happy to say that I’ve had such a positive result. I started taking the ProVen Probiotics about a month back and within a week I began to feel less bloated and more energetic too.

We were sent some for the children to try out too and we’ve seen much better health in terms of colds and coughs which have been almost negligent in the past month. In fact, come to think of it, we’ve had none. Even Ethan who is prone to upper respiratory tract infections during winter seems to have had none.

Here’s a little more about the product –

ProVen Probiotics www.provenprobiotics.co.uk are a range of probiotic supplements that meet the different demands of all life-stages – from newborn babies to 50+; the range has something suitable for everyone to take. All of the products in the ProVen Probiotics range contain Lab4 – a trademarked group of four bacterial strains that are one of the most studied groups of friendly bacteria in the world and the most studied in the UK.

I didn’t realise that probiotics can make such a difference. I did know that they cause digestive problems but didn’t quite think they make a difference to allergies and all round health.

The children took the chewable tablets which also contain Vitamin C and they were strawberry and  we were also sent the multivitamins with friendly bacteria. Both seemed to work well and as I mentioned before, we seemed to have fended off the allergies this year.

I’m definitely going to get some more and ensure that we take them the year round to keep healthy. They are available at Boots and Holland and Barrett
