I was invited by the Beechdean to Butlins Bognor Regis for the launch of the Scooby-Doo ice-creams and I knew I had to make the effort to attend as the children love Scooby-Doo. Besides, we were also going to be treated to the Scooby-Doo Live show. We couldn’t miss that, could we?
We boarded the train to Bognor and that was an adventure in itself for the children. It didn’t take too long – just over 2 hours and we were there well in time.
There was a wonderful lunch set out as well as ice-cream – lots and lots of ice-cream. The children were obviously not interested in lunch when there was ice-cream to be had – and you could have as much as you liked.
The Scooby-Doo ice-cream comes in three flavours –
Strawberry Snack – A delicious strawberry ice-cream covered in delicious white chocolate.
Chocolate Snack – Chocolate ice cream covered in milk chocolate
Honeycomb snack – A lovely honey flavoured ice cream covered in milk chocolate.
The children loved the chocolate snack while my favourite was the Strawberry Snack. I loved the mix of the strawberry and white chocolate.
We also got a chance to play dress up for the Scooby Doo Selfie competition with a dedicated Scooby Doo booth and costumes.
The highlight of the day was obviously – besides the ice-cream – watching Scooby Doo Live which held the children enthralled.
I had some very tired but very happy children on the train on the way back as they played with some of their toys from their goody bag. And after having slept on the train, they were ready to watch the DVD that was also in the goody bag.
You may be able to catch a glimpse of the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Ice Cream Van in several places around the UK. You may also like to enter the #Scooby-DooSelfie competition and you do so by clicking here . There is a Butlins family break up for grabs.
