Jacintaz3 at Wagamama: A Review

I had heard a lot about Wagamama but had never visited. Perhaps it had to do to the fact that whenever we visited, there were long queues outside and the children were never willing to wait.

Luckily for me, I managed to call ahead and make a reservation for lunch and the staff told me that though they don’t accept reservations on Saturday, there was place.

I know that Wagamama does Japanese food and Jadyn was really looking forward to Sushi so we were quite disappointed to know that they didn’t serve it.

However, there were so many other delicious meals on the menu so that was soon forgotten.

For drinks, I had a tropical juice which was so refreshing, the children had orange juice and Hubs had a beer.

For the children, we ordered Cod cubes and this was cod fried in bread crumbs and served with sticky rice. A sauce was provided but we were not given a choice as mentioned in the online menu. Ethan and Aeryn quite enjoyed their food.

Jadyn decided to try the Teriyaki Chicken which was served with sauce and sticky rice and the chicken was crispy and quite tasty.

I had the prawn Kare Lomen – which is a prawn dish with a coconut gravy and is served on a bed of noodles. It was delicious and the serving was quite large. In fact, I could not finish the portion.

Hubs had the Wagamama Ramen which had chicken, barbecued pork, prawns, mussels and tasted really yum. Again the serving was very generous.

The children, of course, still had space for dessert and they finished with vanilla pod ice-cream which was a fitting end to the meal.

The restaurant was extremely busy when we visited as it was a Saturday afternoon and the service was still great. We had to ask for forks as the children found it difficult to manage with the chopsticks and those were provided. Although, I quite liked the ‘chopsticks’ provided for the children.

There were also colour pencils provided with an activity sheet for the children to keep themselves occupied while they waited which is so essential in a restaurant that caters to families.

Wagamama is ideal for a meal with the family and we enjoyed the entire experience. It definitely has Jacintaz3 family friendly seal of approval.
