I thought the half term was going to be relaxing. Instead we had a week of things to do – all interesting – so I’m glad we didn’t miss out on any.
On Tuesday, we headed into London to Foyles Bookstore for the launch of the Nutmeg AW16 collection – the clothing range from Morrisons and we absolutely loved what we saw. The new range is appealing to older girls and boys too and Jadyn, who was a bit sceptical about the range as it’s always been more about younger girls, found several items to her liking. And boy, is she hard to please.
The children were also thrilled to be able to pet bunnies and chicks and even a chinchilla.
And on the way back we could not help but look in at this Sweet Shop –
We headed off to the London Wetlands Centre with Robinsons on Wednesday and it was another fun day drinking squash, having a picnic indoors and feeding ducks.
Thursday was a rest day before we set off again on Friday all the way across London for an awesome Skylanders event which involved lots of cake eating and a sweetie stall. Not forgetting that we were also introduced to the new Skylanders game – Skylanders Imaginations that launches in October. It’s one not to be missed and we are looking forward to playing it.
As if we hadn’t done enough, we headed off to Willows Activity Farm on Saturday for a fun-filled day on bouncy castles, sheep shearing, feeding animals and generally enjoying a family day out.
On Sunday, we had decided to rest it off and prepare for school but with the weather being so good we headed off to Richmond Park for a LONG walk and managed to get up close and personal with deer.
The kids seemed pretty geared up everyday and woke up bright and early (maybe too early) all half term. Thank goodness for busy days.
We have some pretty awesome things planned for this weekend and the next too so watch this space.
