Food At the Heart – My Kitchen:Colour Matched with Argos

I recently wrote a post about Argos’ ColourMatch range for the bedroom.

I was also sent a link to a Personality Test – to see which colour is suited to my personality by answering a few questions. I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I was also pretty sure that my colour would be blue as it is my favourite colour.

I had a surprise in store for me – my colour turned out to be apple green. I was quite surprised as green is not normally a colour I go for.

I was also lucky to receive some products for the kitchen in a beautiful Apple Green colour and until I saw them I didn’t realise how restful and attractive this colour is.

I received the following products, all in an apple green colour.

Colour Match dinner set  – this 12 piece set is lovely. It is two toned and has 4 dinner plates, 4 side plates and 4 bowls.  The green colour has a gloss finish that makes it very pleasing to the eye and will suit either a formal or informal dining experience, and the two tone effect adds to the attractiveness. The dinner plates are a good size. I was a little surprised at the size of the side plates as they are quite large. The bowls are ideal for soups. They are all microwaveable and dishwasher and freezer safe.

2 slice toaster – This little toaster is gorgeous. I love the colour. It has 3 functions- defrost, cancel and reheat, a removable crumb tray, 7 toast settings, wide slots for thicker widths (something that I really like for crumpets etc), and a high lift tray. I have to say that is looks really cute and I love the size. It comes with a 1 year warranty. I think it is ideal for couples and young people starting out in a new home or even people starting university. At £14.99 it is a must buy for your kitchen.

I also received kitchen scales in the same shade. These mechanical kitchen scales brighten up my kitchen. It is made of plastic and has a maximum capacity of 5 kg/11 lbs. It measures in imperial and metric units. It comes with a 10 year manufacturing guarantee. Retailing at £6.99, it is a great value addition to your kitchen.

To keep the doctor away, a basket of apples was also delivered with the kitchen goods, to complement my set of kitchen products and I can see that the children are going to enjoy eating the treats that I am going to make using my kitchen scales. Serving them out in my new dinner set is going to be a treat for me! I think this was a lovely touch!

All these products come in a range of colours, so if you find that your colour is different you can quite easily colour coordinate your kitchen to suit it. In fact, the range covers items for the entire home from cutlery to cushions to curtains and then of course, toasters and kettles. It is  a range that is attractive and affordable and I am sure that many homes will be getting a makeover once the range is checked out.

Disclaimer: I received the above products for review. All ideas and opinions are my own.
