On the 28th of May, I was invited to chaperone Jadyn and her BFF to an event. She was thrilled (but obviously) when I told her about it and there were a whole lot of squeals of delight when I asked her BFF, Chloe to attend and be pampered and walk the red carpet – well the orange carpet in this instance!
It was to view the premiere of ‘Every Witch Way‘ – a new television series aimed at tweens which is to be aired on Nickelodeon UK for the first time on the 14th of July at 5.30 pm.
The girls were treated to an afternoon of pampering – glitter tattoos and hair chalk and be stars themselves as they posed for photos and then entered the hall for the viewing. We saw two episodes of the serial and they were wanting more at the end of it. Which means that Jadyn will be hogging the telly whenever it is on!
Chloe and Jadyn thought the episodes were ‘FAB’ (to quote them) and they have been counting the days for it to be aired. They thought it was ‘funny’ and ‘very cool’. And Jadyn is hoping that she will discover some magical, witchy powers too! I’m no witch, though!!
I was quite taken with the serial too and I am sure that I will be keeping Jadyn company and watching it too. I think its great to watch the series with her so I can keep up with her and talk about them.
I loved the way Emma is portrayed as an ordinary girl who has no clue to her magical abilities. The series is funny and entertaining and would be suitable for Tweens upwards. We love the butterflies!! And if you want to know what that means – well, you’ve just got to watch the series to find out!! 😉
Here is a little more about the show –
The series follows 14-year-old Emma Alonso, as she moves to Miami and her ordinary life is turned upside-down when she discovers she is a witch. Luckily Emma quickly finds a friend in tomboy Andi but when Emma develops a crush on the boy next door, Daniel, she also has to deal with his Queen Bee ex-girlfriend Maddie, a girl who has her own magical family secret.
Just as Emma’s new found witch skills start to materialise, she also has to negotiate the halls of Iridium High. Maddie and her clique The Panthers run the school and the boys on the swim team, the Sharks, are always up to something to win or impress a girl. Plus there’s no chance of getting away with any social blunders as Miss Information, the school gossip, documents everything on her blog read by the entire school.
In the premiere episode ‘Discovery,’ strange things start happening to Emma when she moves to Miami and gets to grips with a new home, new school and new friends. This summer, new episodes of Every Witch Way will air every weeknight at 5:30pm on Nickelodeon.
Online at www.nick.co.uk fans can experience a magical world of Every Witch Way fun. There will be sneak peeks of upcoming episodes, quizzes, the lowdown on all the students at Iridium High and the opportunity to cast some spells with an awesome game, Hallway Hocus Pocus. On the Nick App, fans can watch the first magical episode, view cool photo galleries and much, much, more.
I can tell you that it will hold you ‘spellbound’ and if you are not going to be in, do remember to record it.
I may also have a bit of a surprise for you on the 14th so do be sure to come back and visit my blog then. 😉
