When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov in an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated. Captain Smek optimistically declares ‘relocation is fun and mandatory’, while all Boov get busy efficiently reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip, manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov by the name of Oh. Equally stubborn and set in their ways, these two fugitives realise there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime, good thing they have a flying car!
We were sorry to have missed the premiere. The children felt better though when we were sent a collection of HOME toys from Flair to review.
Our favourite obviously is ‘Oh’. This animated dancing Oh plush is just adorable. It is 24cm tall and dances in time to the music. The arms move up and down. We love the colours – the lilac and blue are easy on the eye and the smile is just too cute. It kind of swings around on these wheels on the underside while singing lines from the film.
It is perfect for children aged 3+ years. The toy comes with 2 AA batteries which is a plus.
Pig plush – No, it’s not a pig but apparently a cat who called pig. Press its tummy to hear it purr. It is very cuddly too. Priced at £19.99, it is 22 cm tall and the children love it.
Boov Mood ears – These are really cute and perfect for letting one know what kind of mood you are in. I think she was in a particularly naughty mood! There is also a mood card that tells you the different moods. Mood ears are priced at £3.99
Mood Bubbles – Each bubble contains a collectable 2 inch Boov figure. Great for pocket money toys, these little figures are priced at £2.49 and are available in 18 styles to choose from.
There are also some lovely Colour Changing Figures, plush assortments and a Captain Smek Shusher Wand from Flair.
We will definitely be going to see the film during the Easter holidays as the trailer has piqued our interest immensely.
