We’ve never read any books by Clare Vulliamy but after reading Dotty Detective we are hooked.

The Story –

Dotty loves super-sour apple sherberts, running fast and puzzles! And with the help of Top Dog, Mccluskey, she is walls up for unravelling a mystery. So when someone seems set on sabotaging the school show, Dot is determined to find out how, and save the day!

What we thought-

The Dotty Detective is a brilliantly written, fun book for children. The characters are well formed and each suited to the role they play in the book. When Dot sets up her own detective agency with her friends complete with club badges and secret codes, the story is bound to get interesting.

We loved the format – diary form and it actually looks like scribbles in a diary. The illustrations (black and white) are also fun and suit the mood of the book.

We loved this one.

The book is available at Amazon and is priced at £5.99
