Disney’s Frozen is a fabulous visual treat with an exceptional soundtrack.

Yes, when we received this invitation, we could not stop talking about anything else. It was marked off on our calendar for an event that was not to be missed. To see a Disney film before it was released was a rare treat indeed.

On the day, the children were most excited and there is something about Disney that makes me get caught up in their excitement too.

We arrived at Leicester Square to be greeted by snow and reindeer (yes, real, live reindeer)

On going in, there were face painters and people making balloon sculptures. The children were thrilled. We were shown our seats and on each seat was a goody bag containing juice, fruit rolls, chocolate and some crayons and a poster to colour.

Jadyn, Ethan and Aeryn had their faces painted and got a balloon each.

And then…

The show started – with a beautiful performance by Willemijn Verkaik (Elsa in the Dutch Frozen and starring in UK Wicked)with scenes from Frozen on the screen as a background. It was amazing and she has got an awesome voice.

We were ready for the film. Did I mention that it was in 3D? Well it was!

What we thought of it in one word – Spectacular!

The film has some out-of-this-world cinematography, amazing sound track and a wonderful story.

What could be better than love to melt a frozen heart?

The story is poignant, funny, thrilling and has its moments of sadness.

I have to say I am a big Disney fan and I love watching all the Disney movies but this is got to be one of the greatest ever.

I don’t want to spoil it for you and tell you the story but I do want to tell you not to miss it. What a lovely season for it to be released – December – the season of love and winter. At this time of the year, while we get caught up in the world of Christmas, we also sometimes forget the real spirit of Christmas – a time for sharing, caring and spreading love.

The story has a lovely message – that true love can transcend everything. The line I like best in the film – ‘Some people are worth melting for’ by Olaf the snowman. Love is when you are willing to put your life in danger for another which is a recurring theme in the film.

The children loved it and so did my husband and self.

Jadyn loved Elsa, Ethan loved Olaf. I love the characters of Elsa and Anna and how the two sisters were portrayed. Elsa – older, careful not to jump into anything and doomed by her power. Anna – younger, impulsive and ready to jump into marriage at first sight!

"FROZEN" (Top to Bottom) ELSA and ANNA. ?2013 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

A story with princesses, a prince, a live snowman, a reindeer and trolls with each  character integral to the film.

We all thought the film was just amazing and should not be missed!

The Soundtrack is being released on 2nd December from Walt Disney Records and is set to be a big hit. ‘Let it Go’ sung by Idina Menzel is an unforgettable song, delivering a powerful message about how Elsa is feeling, as she experiences an epic moment in her life.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen” hits a high note with details of its dynamic soundtrack featuring eight original songs from Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit,” “Winnie the Pooh”) and Tony® Award-winning songwriter Robert Lopez (“Avenue Q,” “The Book of Mormon”), plus a phenomenal score by the composer of last year’s Oscar®-winning short “Paperman,” Christophe Beck. The original motion picture soundtrack, which features the end-credit recording of “Let It Go” by Demi Lovato, is available for sale on Dec. 2, 2013.

Directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), who also wrote the screenplay, and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”) “Frozen” hits theatres internationally throughout November/December 2013.

If I used the word love too many times in the post – forgive me. Its just that we LOVED it so much. If I sound excited and a bit all over the place – its because there is so much I want to talk about but can’t without spoiling the film for you.

All I can say now is get the soundtrack and go see the movie on bigscreen and then when the DVD is released, get it for your library!

The film may be called ‘Frozen’ but it leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing that love transcends all – a feeling that is only Disney can portray in such grand style.
