We moved to Los Angeles in April and though we’ve settled in (well sort of), we still miss London like it was yesterday. Especially round the Christmas season, we miss the hustle and bustle, the Christmas parties, the Christmas lights and the list goes on and on. When we were approached to review some special occasion dresses for girls from David Charles Childrenswear London, it was such a welcome offer as it made us feel closer to home.
The difficult part was deciding which dress we would choose.
The dresses on the site are absolutely stunning and there were so many that the girls like. There are simple ones and some that are quite elaborate so you can make a choice to fit the occasion.
My oldest had a tough time deciding as she wanted something that was more fitted but then she also fell in love with this classic black dress which looks stunning.
It has a tulle skirt with black satin waterfall pleats and a gorgeous pearl belt with a resin flower. It fits perfectly as per her age. It reminds me of the classic Audrey Hepburn style dresses that are timeless through the ages.
My little one knew from the start that she wanted a blue dress. And when she saw this embroidered dress, she knew it was ‘the one’.
It is a gorgeous royal blue with metallic gold embroidered flowers throughout. It falls to the knee and has layers of tulle that make it look like a ballroom dress. It is so beautiful. I love the little puff sleeves too. Aeryn says she feels like a princess when it’s on.
They arrived within a week and David Charles Childrenswear does ship internationally so you have access to these lovely dresses anywhere in the world.
