As part of the December Center Parcs family blogger challenge we were asked to write about 12 things we lovede about Christmas.
I thought I would put down in a poem all that sums up what I love about Christmas –
At number 12 is mulled wine so sweet
It one of my favourite Christmas treats
At number 11 is Christmas dinner
I tell you our turkey is always a winner!
At number 10 are the presents galore
One for each person…and then – some more.
At number 9 is the Christmas tree
That glistens with baubles and lights and fairies.
At number 8 is Santa so jolly
We love his presents of bikes and dollies
At number 7 are the memories
That stay with us and never cease.
At number 6 is the snow that falls
The snowman, the ice and the fights with snowballs
At number 5 is the Christmas spirit hat abounds
The kind that at other times is not found.
At number 4 are the Christmas songs
Sung with joy, with voices strong.
At number 3 is the crib so dear
That always reminds us Jesus is near.
At number 2 are the Christmas plays
Seeing my children performing makes my day!
At number 1 is the family love sublime
That stays with us till the end of time.
The tip that inspired me the most is – “3. For those who don’t fancy venturing out, there’s still plenty to do inside at Center Parcs. The traditional pantomimes are always a favourite with our guests and the Elf Academy at Sherwood Forest turns your little ones into trainee elves, complete with an elf graduation.” – It sounds positively delightful.
This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 December challenge. If I’m chosen, I would like to visit Longleat.
