McDonald’s is our ‘go to’ place when we need a quick meal where the children don’t have to wait long for food and get bored. The restaurants are especially handy when we are out shopping or even travelling abroad as we know what’s normally on offer. However, I’m thrilled that McDonald’s is expanding their menu to include a varied menu for offering something for everyone.
In fact, you can actually choose a breakfast or main meal that at McDonald’s for under 400/600 calories.
Each 400/600 calorie bundle features a tasty main, side and drink and achieves either green or amber on the Food Standard Agency traffic light system for fat, saturated fat, salt and sugar. The bundles include McDonald’s favourites such as the Egg & Cheese McMuffin, Chicken McNuggets and the Chicken Legend.
The bundles are easy to find on McDonald’s restaurants’ digital self-service kiosks – displayed as Meals Under in a specific category on the kiosk, making it even easier for customers to make the choice that’s right for them. These meals can also be ordered on the Click and Collect app from 17th January.
With four under 400kcals breakfast meal options, six under 400kcals main meal options, and six under 600kcals main meal options, there’s something for everyone.

I’m thrilled at being offered many more choices at McDonald’s Restaurants and I can still have their tasty meals without the guilty feeling of piling up the calories. One of my favourite breakfasts is an Egg & Cheese McMuffin and the fact that it’s about 338 kcal with a fruit side and regular tea makes it even more appealing.
