Aeryn watches so many YouTube reviews so she couldn’t wait to have a Baby Alive doll. These were not available in the UK but we are so glad that they are now and we were sent one to review. We were sent the Baby Alive Super Snacks Snackin’ Noodle Baby and needless to say it was a huge hit in our home.
The doll is adorable with a cute little face and a button nose. It has blonde hair tied in bunches and wears a brightly coloured dress.
The box also includes a plate, some play food (noodle dough), a noodle maker, a brush and a nappy.
On the back of the doll is a row of buttons so you can switch the doll off and on and the great thing is that you can also programme it to ‘mummy’ or ‘daddy’. So, when it’s on daddy mode, the doll says ‘I love you daddy’ instead of using ‘mummy’.
This doll actually ‘slurps’ up her noodles.
When she is hungry, she lets you know. All you need to do is make the noodles with the help of the maker and then put a single noodle into her mouth.
She slurps it up with a slurping noise. She also lets you know that she’s had enough and she needs the toilet.
Open up her nappy to reveal the noodles. 🙂
What we thought
This doll is perfect for nurturing and for children to learn to take care of babies. They learn to put a nappy on, feed the doll and also change the nappy.
Its perfect for role play and if you have a baby, its great to get your older one, a Baby Alive to take care of so she can mimic you. I’ve found this works well as older children sometimes feel left out with a new baby in the house. Having one of their own to take care of helps.
I like that that doll is inclusive and has a mummy and a daddy option so both girls and boys can play with it.
Aeryn just loves this doll and enjoys playing with it. Here’s a video review by the Magic Hat Reviewer (a.k.a. Aeryn)
