An evening of #SmiggleMania

Last week, we were invited to visit the Smiggle store in Richmond – after shopping hours and yes, we had the full store to ourselves. Well, us and a few other bloggers but it was just for us. Lucky us!

Now as you must know Smiggle is the store with the coolest stationery. I have this on good authority from my 10-year old daughter and her friends.

I remember the first time I walked into a Smiggle store (I’m sorry to say I had not heard of it) with Jadyn as she was the one who told me about it. I thought everything looked so bright and attractive. I love the way the shop is set out  – colour coorindated and character coordinated too.

There is something for everyone there. Almost makes me want to go back to school myself. Which will probably be sooner than later. As a teacher of course!

We were introduced to the new Smiggle back to school range which has a lot of products that my children are coveting.

We love the pencil cases with the hidden compartments and ruler. 🙂

We also love the lava lamps.

Aeryn picked up a scented slap band and Ethan and Jadyn picked up spy pens – the ones that write invisible and then when you shine the ultraviolet light on the writing – you can read it. Perfect for those classroom notes. 😉 Not happening in my class though as I am wise to this now.

The new Fun fair range is bright and attractive and looks very ‘fun’ – to use and to own. I can see why Jadyn is so smitten by Smiggle.

The children liked all too many products in store but their favourite is the pop out pencil case. I can see why as I longed for one when I was young and was thrilled when I got one, although mine didn’t have as many compartments.

I think having fun stationery to use is important for encouraging children to write more and enjoy learning.

There is something for everyone in Smiggle and I particularly liked the filled party bags. I’m sure it’s going to feature at our next birthday party.

Disclaimer: I was invited to an event and given a goody bag. All ideas and opinions are my own.
