I like introducing my children to toys that were from my era – they realise I’m normal and had a childhood like them! 🙂
The Care Bears first appeared on greeting cards in 1981(I remember that) and then were turning into plush toys in 1983. Each Care Bear came with a tummy symbol, representing it’s personality. Tenderheart of course is special as it obviously is the most caring.
I was thrilled when I was sent a Care Bear from the new range from Vivid Toys.
The new range consists of beanies and full size toys and I am sure that you will recognise some of your old favourites. The medium sized Tenderheart plush (RRP £17.99), is 14 inches tall and comes with a DVD featuring an episode of the new animated series.
The large Tenderheart plush (RRP £24.99) is 20 inches tall and you won’t be able to stop yourself from giving him a hug.
I really like the idea of the Grumpy Bear (RRP £7.99). It’s blue and cuddly and will definitely bring a smile to anyone’s face.
They all have a little ‘Care Bears’ heart on their bottoms. 🙂
We were sent the large Tenderheart Bear and it is totally adorable. It has a huge heart on it’s stomach. It also came with a little poem.
I would have been thrilled if Hubs had bought me one – but the lovely ladies at Vivid beat him to it. 🙂
I will of course be handing down my bear to my children and telling them the story of my own little Care Bear that I had as a child. I had Care-A-Lot – the one with the rainbow.
I think the Care Bears are perfect presents for any occasions but what better day than Valentine’s Day to show that you care?
I was sent a Tenderheart Care Bear plush. All ideas and opinions are my own.
