The Furchester Hotel is a popular series on CBeebies. It is about a ‘half star’ hotel owned by monsters – the Furchester Fuzz family. The family consists of Funella, Furgus and Phoebe and together with Elmo and Cookie Monster, they solve the problems of the guests making for a very entertaining show.
What is it with children and monsters? You would think they would be afraid of them. But the love them instead. At least mine do. Well, at least the ones in The Furchester Hotel are friendly. 🙂
We received the new Furchester Hotel magazine to review and I think it went down very well with Aeryn. She is 4 and loves magazines.
The Furchester Hotel Magazine comes packed with things to do. There are stories
and even a pack to make your own monsters and she did pretty well I think –
I liked that this particular magazine has a few prompts for writing and counting and this is perfect for her age as she is soon headed to Reception. The stickers also needed to be attached to the pages and many of them contained answers to sums or questions so one had to think a bit before they stuck them in the right place.
The magazine is attractively coloured and is appealing to little ones. You can spend as little or as much time as you like as there are different sections with different activities. What’s best is that the activities support the Early Years Curriculum.
With the holidays upon us this is ideal if you are going away as children would be kept occupied during travel and it is nice that they have familiar characters to work with. It is also great for keeping the children occupied indoors during rainy days. It also has within is a Kids Go Free Voucher for SeaLife. Perfect for an outing with the kids.
Priced at £2.75, I think the magazine is good value for money and would definitely recommend it.
