Stylish glasses from Specspost: Review

Men don’t make passes at women with glasses? Wrong. They do. You just need the right kind of glasses. J

I have been wearing glasses for the last 25 years or so. I started with the tortoise shell huge, geeky glasses and would not wear them outside. I then graduated to more stylish ones that I consented to wear while out and about but I do admit, I use contact lenses when I want to look fashionable.

I have seen however, that more and more celebrities are sporting glasses and I think that the right frames can do wonders at making one look classy and intelligent at the same time.

I was quite happy to be able to review glasses from Specspost, an online glasses company based in the UK that specialize in fashion/geek glasses, petite glasses and prescription sunglasses.

There is a huge collection of glasses on the site and it was quite a problem choosing three to try out.

In the end I chose Aphrodite, Athena and Zambezi Burgundy.

Aphrodite – these stylish glasses, I felt suite my face and are metal rimmed with diamantes in the arms. I quite like the shape of the lens as they are neither rectangle nor totally rounded. The colour is lovely as it is in a nice bronze shade that would match any outfit. Perfect for an occasion, this will bring style to complete your look.

The next one, I tried was the Athena prescription glasses. This is one that is stylish enough to use both by day or evening wear. They are plastic frames in a beautiful burgundy colour and have a design on the side to make it look even lovelier.

The last one I tried is the Zambezi Burgundy and thought it looked rather nice. This is a metal frame with a lovely design on the on the side. Stylish and sophisticated, this can be worn at any time of the day.

It was very difficult to choose which one I would go with and after asking several people I decided to go with the first two. I actually liked all three but what would I do with 3 pairs of glasses.

There is a huge range of glasses on the Specspost site and there is also an option of Home Trial, where you can have 3 pairs of glasses delivered to you to try out and there is no compulsion to buy. Although, I can guarantee that you will find something you like and if you are like me, you will like all three.

The price of the glasses include standard prescription lenses and I think that this is great value for money as many of the glasses look like designer glasses without the designer price tag.

Disclosure: I am being provided with a pair of glasses for the review. All ideas and opinions are my own.
