I’ve always enjoyed reading those little Charlie Brown cartoons/quotes and when given a chance to review the new Snoopy film, I jumped at it.
It was a great way of introducing the children to characters that had been familiar faces during my growing up years.
Charlie Brown, the underdog as usual, has a massive crush on the little red haired girl who is new to his class. Will she ever like him?
Snoopy spends his time chasing Red Baron as per the cartoon. It has the wry humour that one identifies Snoopy with.
I did find the film dragging a bit but the children loved it and seemed very involved. The animation was great.
Here’s what what the film makers have to say, “Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved PEANUTS Gang make their feature film debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Charlie Brown, the world’s most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.”
I would recommend this for Snoopy fana. American family life has been portrayed through Charlie Brown’s family.
We did spend a great evening watching it.
