Review: Neil the Seal from Tomy

Once upon a time, Jacintaz3 went to Woburn Safari Park where we saw a seal show. The children were entranced with the seals balancing the ball on their snout and couldn’t stop talking about it.

Luckily for us, a short while later Neil the Seal from Tomy, was delivered to our house.

When it first arrived, I did think Aeryn was maybe too old for it but I soon found out different.

This cute little seal has a little ball and what one needs to do is to push it along on its wheels so that Neil picks up the ball between his flippers and places the ball is placed on his nose. Then Neil balances the ball and the ball spins as you push it along.

The toy is sturdy and has withstood a lot of banging against walls in an effort to pick up the ball so that shows its durability!

It seems like a very simple toy but it has provided a lot of hours of fun for all the children as they race to see who can make Neil pick up the ball the fastest.

The ball attaches to the snout with the help of a magnet so when you get it right, it does stay on to balance on it.

The toy is ideal for a little one who has learnt to walk as it provides incentive to push theseal. It also provides some concentration for a little one as they have to guide the seal’s flippers to pick up the ball. So, it is great for corodination.

The plastic is good quality so you don’t have to worry about it breaking.

The ball can also be played with separately and which child does not like a ball?

The colours are attractive for a child and am sure Neil will be welcome in any home.

Aimed at 18+ months, we think this toy is a great toy for little children and should be on Santa’s list.

It is available at Amazon, Tesco, Argos and other toy retailers and is priced at £19.99
