It is fairly easy to do. All you need to do is draw out the shape you want on the plastic sheet and then cut it out. There are templates provided. And since the plastic is transparent you can just trace it.  It cuts easily with a pair of scissors as it is quite thin.

Colour the shape in and then punch the hole as required with the punch provided.

Then comes the fun bit – you pre heat the oven to 160 degrees and once ready put the shape onto the cardboard and pop it in the oven for about 1 -1 1/2 minutes. You will be able to see the plastic shrinking. It does have a tendency to curl up but it does straighten out on its own.

If some bits are still curved when you remove them from the oven place something flat on it and apply a gentle pressure for about 10 seconds.

The plastic cools and hardens fast so you need to do this while the plastic is still warm and pliable.

then all you need to do is string the shapes and add beads as you like.

This was a very innovative way of making jewellery and the jewellery looks great. The process gave jadyn an opportunity to learn why this happens as she went and checked up why plastic shrinks when heated.

There is quite a bit of plastic provided so you can make quite  a few items. There are 9 projects in all.

Jadyn made a bracelet for her sister, two matching bracelets for herself and her BFF and a set of jewellery for herself. It was great fun and I quite enjoyed helping her too!

The set retails at £9.99 and I think this is excellent value for money as it helpd the children to get creative as well as learn and make jewellery they can keep for themselves or give to their friends.
