Review: Badge It Badge Maker

Jadyn is at an age where she prefers crafty things or creative products to play with. She is very taken with Harumika and spends quite a bit of time creating designs.

The idea of making badges is ‘cool’ (as she says) so I knew she would be thrilled to review the Badge It badge maker from Bandai.

It’s as easy as 1 – 2 … Well you don’t actually need a 3; it really is that easy!

The Badge It maker comes with the machine, 15 each of badge design stickers, transparent seals, badge tops, badge bottoms, safety pins and a template to make your own design.

All you need to do is follow the instructions and you have a badge in no time. It is really easy and something that Jadyn enjoys doing. You can also cut out any picture that you want with the template and make a badge of your favourite animal, pop star or relative!

The good thing about this product is that you can purchase refills so you are never out of badges. It’s a great idea for girls to share as Jadyn has made some for her friends.

I also think it is a great idea to have one at a birthday party and have each child make a take home badge of their own. You can even have your child draw a picture to fit within the template and then make a badge of it. A lasting memory.

So to make a badge you put in the badge top, design and transparent seal in drawer 1 (clearly marked), push it in and then turn the dial clockwise till you hear it click. Turn the dial anticlockwise now and move to drawer 2. Put in the badge bottom – remember to put it in correctly. It should be facing up. Push the drawer in and turn the dial clockwise until you hear the click. Pull the drawer out and you have a spanking new badge creation in your hand.

All you need to do is to attach the safety pin and wear it proudly.

I have been told (by Jadyn, of course) that it is the in thing to wear badges and yes, the more the better!!

The Badge It badge maker retails at £19.99 and is available on Amazon and other major retailers.

It does have small parts so if you have young children below the age of 3, it is best to keep it away from curious hands (and mouths!)

We also thought it better if you saw it in action so here goes –
