Our family meal at Brewer’s Fayre

We enjoy eating out as a family and obviously seek out family friendly restaurants when doing so. My children are spirited (read can’t sit still) and I really can’t see them sitting down to a silver service meal (or the likes of that!)

I like restaurants that cater especially to children and that’s why a family favourite is Brewer’s Fayre. We recently went there to review their meals and we just loved it.

We had visited the Brewer’s Fayre in near Croydon and the I liked the ambience of the restaurant. The service was also quite personal without having anyone hovering over us. The children were provided with an activity pack to keep them busy while we waited for our food.

I know the serving portions in Brewer’s Fayre are good so I decided to share dishes with Jadyn so we could try out a different items.

We started with Chicken Wings which were absolutely fingerlicking good.

We then went on to the Full Rack of Ribs and these were cooked perfectly so that the meat was soft and delicious.

Hubs had the Slow cooked Lamb shank and he said the meat was tender and just seemed to melt in the mouth. (that was probably due to the buttered cabbage!!)

The two younger ones had the children’s menu and they both decided on a two course menu of pizza and chips and brownie and ice cream for dessert.

No meal can be reviewed without dessert, can it? So like proper guests, Hubs and Jadyn had a Knickerbocker glory and I had a banana split. We had eaten a hearty meal but the desserts were so good that we wolfed them down too.

I had my aunt with me too and she tried the Thai Curry which was spicy but very flavoursome.

Our meal worked out to about £72 which for six of us having a 2 course meal and soft drinks was great value for money.

Brewer’s Fayre also runs some great midweek Daytime Value Meal deals where you can have 2 main courses for £10 , Monday – Friday, 12-6.30pm* including 12 tasty traditional pub classics, from Fish & Chips, to Gammon Steak and Sausage and Mash, perfect for an everyday treat. You can also order 2 starters or 2 desserts for just £2.50!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there and would definitely recommend it to families.

Disclaimer: We were given a £50 voucher towards our review. All ideas and opinions are my own and have in no way been influenced.
