National Eczema Week – E45 product review

Its National Eczema week next week 14 September – 22 September and I thought it would be great to share my experience of using E45 products with you.
My little son suffers from mild eczema and though it is not too distressful, I still feel really sorry for him when he suffers from it. It can be quite itchy and it really is not a very nice feeling.
I have found that keeping his skin moistened all the time can help although he is
not always happy to have creams applied on him and gets impatient.
However, I have had the opportunity to use some of the E45 products and found them to be especially great for his skin.
E45
The E45 wash is a favourite of mine as I have found it very effective in the shower and it does leave the skin feeling soft and moistened. It is also not too greasy so Ethan like it being used on him. The combination of the E45 wash and having the E45 cream applied on him has worked very well for him.

The E45 cream has been effective and well received over the summer as with the heat, the last thing he wanted was a very oily cream being applied on him. With the E45 cream, he was quite happy to have it applied as it not greasy and does not make him feel sticky and hot.

I had used other bath oils before but never the E45 one and this has been just as good as the other E45 products. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated with the stickiness.

I suffer from ‘detergent hands’ and my skin can get quite itchy and dry and flare up. I have seen that the E45 has been very effective with keeping my hands soft and hydrated.
I have been using these products for over 3 weeks now and I can honestly say that they have been of great use in keeping the eczema in check.

Here is a bit more information about E45 products
Emollients
Emollients are a type of moisturiser that form a protective layer on top of the skin. This protective layer is very important because in atopic eczema the skin barrier is faulty, unlike the resilient normal skin barrier. Using complete emollient therapy,
  1. helps prevent the penetration of irritants and allergens and
  2. keeps moisture within the skin, repairing the skin barrier and preventing dry skin and cracks
The E45 cream and emollients range provides daily nourishment to leave skin beautifully hydrated all year round, even for the most sensitive of skin
The range includes:
Moisturising:
·         E45 Cream
