I’m not a yummy mummy-

In fact, not even close!

I sometimes spill the porridge,

And often burn the toast.

They’re forced to eat their carrots

And munch up all their peas,

They have to scrub behind their ears

And also scrub their knees.

They must mind their manners

And remember magic words

If they forget, then magically –

Chocolate disappears.

They have to do their homework,

They must read their books,

They must learn their spelling,

I may catch them off the hook!

They’ll get their bedtime story

But all they get is one.

And in spite of everything

The days we spend are fun

I’m not a yummy mummy-

But the best part is when I’m told

That I’m the BESTEST mummy

In the whole wide world
