The children love pizza. So do I as it means I don’t have to cook! All I need to do is order a takeaway or buy a frozen pizza or pick up one from the chilled aisle.
While, we don’t do this often, we do occasionally get a pizza of two with the shopping. This time we received a voucher to get the new Goodfellas Stonebaked Extra-thin crust pizza.
As you must know Goodfellas pizzas come in a variety of toppings – pepperoni, chicken, ham and pineapple, meat feast etc. The Extra-thin vatiety comes with 3 toppings – Pepperoni and Chorizo, Mozzarella and Pesto and Vegetable and Goat’s Cheese. All sound delicious but let see how they stacked up when we put them to the test.
The pizzas retail at £2.89 each and I would say that this is really good value for money.
We had purchased Goodfellas Extra Thin Pepperoni and Chorizo and Vegetable and Goats cheese. I quite like the thin pizzas as they are not too filling and you get to taste the toppings better. It is also crispy and I like it this way.
The Goodfellas Extra Thin Pepperoni and Chorizo is quite tasty and has a lot of the toppings on it. It tastes quite authentic too.
We really enjoyed the Vegetables and Goats cheese pizza. It was extremely tasty and delicious with the cheese not being overwhelming. The combination of the goats cheese, sliced onion, spinach and balsamic vinegar was just yum and even my little boy who is not a fan of sliced onions or spinach ate it without a fuss.
The extra crunch of the thin crust serves to add that extra something to the pizza.
The children really enjoyed the pizzas and as I said before, they are so convenient to have as they can be frozen and used whenever you don’t feel like cooking or the kids want a snack or when the children want a treat!
My personal favourite was the Vegetable and Goat’s Cheese one. It was subtle and yet bursting with flavour.
If you want to spend a night in and have pizza, I would definitely recommend trying one from this range.
