How to Have Fun at Work in the Run Up to Christmas

It’s the end of the year and Christmas is fast approaching, so it’s time to start having a bit of fun at work until the holiday is finally here and everyone can celebrate. But how can you have fun at work in the run up to Christmas? Check out the tips below, which are super easy to implement for your entire staff to enjoy.

Host Contests and Play Games for Prizes

This is a great time of year to start hosting workplace contests and playing fun holiday inspired games like the office Christmas bingo game that you can get by clicking here. Make these a bit more competitive by offering some cute prizes to the winners. The prizes certainly do not need to be expensive by any means, but they should be desirable, like a small gift card to Starbucks, as an example. Host these games and contests weekly in the run up to Christmas to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Encourage Employees to Bring in Holiday Treats

This is the season to indulge a bit, so why not ask your staff to bring in tasty holiday treats throughout the month of December? Have these out for your employees to indulge in and reward themselves for their hard work. And, as the boss, you should definitely make it a point to bring in plenty of treats of your own to show your appreciation to your staff and keep them motivated to continue doing well.

Host a Fun Holiday Party

Hosting a holiday party is yet another way that you can have a lot of fun in the run up to Christmas. To make your party even more interesting and to bring everyone together a bit more, have a Secret Santa program in which your employees can purchase affordable gifts for one another so that no one will feel left out. Just make sure that you ask your employees about how they feel about a holiday party, whether or not they would want to attend, and where they would prefer it be held.

Be More Flexible During Work Hours

Make the workdays a bit more flexible by allowing for some much-needed downtime. After all, your staff has worked hard all year long, so they deserve a bit of a break. During those times when you are letting your employees take it easy, you can let them mingle and chat, listen to music, have a drink, or even help you decorate the office in order to get into the holiday spirit. Employees will be able to relax and kick back, and that is a great way to end the year on a fun note.

While a lot of employers struggle to find ways to keep their employees motivated to work at the end of the year, if you can make your work environment a fun place to be throughout the holiday season, you should find that your employees are highly motivated and that they want to participate in the fun activities that you have planned for them.
