It’s almost – but not quite…summer.
Which means the summer vacation looms.
Which means I get to spend time with the kids. The whole day. For 6 weeks X 7 days!
Which means I’ll soon be tearing my hair out.
How do I get through the days?
This starts the day and normally goes like this –
…clean your room
…stop bickering for 5 minutes
…get up in the morning after 7 AM
I’ll let you
…stay up an extra half an hour,
…have an ice-cream,
…have half an hour more on the tablet
This is normally by late afternoon after they haven’t obviously cleaned their rooms, stopped bickering for even a second and woken up at 5.30 AM ready to start the day.
This is me at the end of the day – 10 pm. Bring on the Proseco/Gin/Vodka/Cocktails
When the children have just gone to bed after having had a sugar rush – yes I know I shouldn’t have given them those meringues for dessert. But, I did serve them with strawberries so they’re healthy, right?
Rinse and repeat – the glass that is!
