“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls” – Pablo Picasso
I am no artist and my artistic talents lie in the region of drawing for the children and adult colouring books.
But, I love art.
Given a chance I would decorate all the walls in my home with art. Right now, they are decorated with photos of the children and framed pictures of scenes captured when we’ve been travelling. Art of some form, I’d say.
I know exactly what themes I would use and quite often I find myself browsing sites for art for my walls.
King & McGaw is one of my favourite sites to peruse art prints. They have such a huge selection that you would really be spoilt for choice.
My preference for art veers towards the serene and I’ve chosen three themes that I would like to fill my home with – scenery, contemporary art and horses. I’ve always loved horses – I find them so restful and restless at the same time and so powerful too.
I’ve put together a few favourites from the themes above for different rooms in the house.

Kids’ Room –
I am so tempted to go out and buy these for the house. They are affordable and would look give the home an artistic touch.
Do you have art in your home? How do you go about choosing it?
