An ‘Epic’ Movie: Review

Epic

Hubs and the elder two had been to see Epic at the cinema and they came back raving about it. I had stayed home to babysit Aeryn. Since they came back, Jadyn and Ethan have been asking over and over again for the DVD (which of course is not out yet)

I had also wanted to watch it so was waiting for the DVD to be released. When we were given a code to watch it online, I grabbed it.

So, last week, we sat down in the evening and decided to watch it on the iPad.

I enjoyed watching it for the first time and the children loved watching it all over again.

Epic is a wonderful story about how a teenage girl MK helps the Leafmen to save their forests from evil warriors. Stunning imagery and thrilling action make this a film not to be missed. I was held equally spellbound.

Epic is available now for DigitalHD Download now and on Blu-ray and DVD from 7th October.

I would suggest you get one to add to your collection at home as it can be watched again and again with the entire family.

The DVD and Blu-ray also have special features:

Blu-ray & DVD Special Features

  • Mub & Grub Intro – join Mub and Grub for an EPIC tour through the exciting all-new special features
  • Birds, Bugs and Slugs: Forest Explorer – journey into the forest to meet the real-life counterparts of the EPIC world
  • Rot Rocks – Mandrake might be the bad guy, but his world of rot benefits ours in a number of ways, here you can discover how

Blu-ray Only Special Features

  • Bugs of Camouflage – find out how bugs use their environment to hide right under our noses, just like the Leafmen
  • The Epic Life At Two Inches Tall – how would your life be different if you were only two inches tall? Aside from being small, there are some surprising and amazing benefits.
  • Mysteries of Moonhaven Revealed – meet the incredibly talented filmmakers, artists, and animators at Blue Sky, and learn all about the making of EPIC:
    • The World
